Kexin Feng (冯可馨)

I am an empirical microeconomist in Economic History. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Caltech in June, 2025. My dissertation, advised by Prof. Jean-Laurent Rosenthal, focuses on trade, politics, and industrialization in China during the Warlord Era (1912-1928).

My job market paper, titled "Trade, Industrialization, and Regional Disparities: Evidence from China during the Warlord Era," explores the impact of foreign trade access on regional industrial development.

I am joining Yale's Economic History Program as a Postdoctoral Associate for the 2025-2026 academic year.
