Kexin Feng (冯可馨)

I am a PhD candidate of Economics in Caltech's Division of the Humanities and Social Science. I am an empirical microeconomist in Economic History. My dissertation focuses on late-developing countries' economic transformation, advised by Prof. Jean-Laurent Rosenthal.

My job market paper, titled "Trade, Industrialization, and Regional Disparities: Evidence from China during the Warlord Era," explores the impact of foreign trade access on regional industrial development.

I am joining Yale's Economic History Program as a Postdoctoral Associate for the 2025-2026 academic year.
